Corporate Social Responsibility Action Completed

My experience in Africa and knowledge of distribution of medicines has made me dedicated to deliver improvements. I issued a report to the Kenyan MOH and this was fully accepted and he wanted to implement across Kenya. Civeli war distrupted this plan. Today the same issues are in place: 36km walk to the nearest dispensary. Only one person managing and if they are not there another 36km or a long wait. Each dispensary has only 50% of essential medicines and they are replenished at best once per year and often less becuase there is no mapping of the dispensaries.

 

I contacted WHO about the poor quality of vaccines often frozen and destroyed.  I raised the funding from DHL Lifesciences and together with WHO and the university of Warsaw we validated the shake test,

Nigel was the conference chairman for all the PDA conferences to launch the new guidance for API cGMP ICH Q7a with all other speakers representing regulatory agencies eg. MHRA, FDA, ANSM, B.Farm, Swiss Medic, MEB (NL) etc.

Nigel was the Chairman of APIC Cefic leading a large group of EU API manufactures and developing guidence.

Nigel was a lead speaker at the launch of the ISPE Risk based Commissioning & Qualification roll out and implementation meetings. Nigel implemented and a risk based approach in 1998 and was inspected by MHRA and FDA.

Nigel has spoken at conferences on Risk based Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory compliance, Inspection readiness, validation, cleaning validation, Computer system validation & Digital system, Design Data Integrity, QC management, cold chain management, Logistics, clinical trials and many more.

Availability of Essential Medicines:

Making 100% of essential medicines available locally in developing nations.

Females in Developing Nations : Providing a better chance of a career

Enabling girls to remain in the education system. Universities have a 50:50 gender split not 90% males as it is now. Often females are married at a young age and stop attending school at age 11 to 13.

Detecting Frozen Vaccines:

Ensuring that vaccines are delivered in the best condition to the patient. Many have been frozen & only detectable by use of the shake test.  Introducing a VVM - Vaccine vial monitor would enable immediate detection of  frozen vaccines.
